Amazon includes some FBA inventory restocking features in Seller Central. You may be wondering whether or not you still need an FBA tool for restocking (such as RestockPro).
Here's why you do.
You need a sophisticated inventory management tool that provides a full picture of your business so you can keep track of everything and make informed restocking decisions. The RestockPro interface is designed to support sellers who fulfill orders in different ways, including direct and local shipments. Recommendations for what, when, and how much to reorder are specific to your supply chain, while the inventory forecast factors in orders that you’ve already placed.
Inventory management is an important part of RestockPro, but we offer so much more. The detailed Restock Suggestions dashboard gives merchants important information for sales forecasting and provides a clear visual representation of current inventory. It also flags items that require attention with a red flag for an urgent issue and a yellow flag for an item that will need action soon.
Purchase orders can be created in RestockPro or imported/exported as needed. You can customize columns, specify payment terms, and include notes for your supplier with the flexible PO format. Track items ordered and received, shipping fees, costs, and more with this feature.
Managing inventory that's always on the move can be a real hassle, but this FBA tool automatically tracks your local inventory as you build or modify shipments. You can also print item stickers in various formats right from RestockPro.
We're not saying Amazon is going to use your data. But, at the same time, many sellers spend huge efforts developing their sourcing, pricing, and margin strategies and want to protect their hard-earned competitive advantages.
A third-party tool, such as RestockPro, is a less risky choice since you own and control your data. Managing the details of your sourcing and profitability information with a third-party tool also provides you with an extra level of protection in case your seller account is suspended. Having your data stored outside of the Seller Central dashboard means that you'll always have access to it.
Amazon’s new feature provides the basics, but for many sellers, that’s just not enough. Remaining competitive on the marketplace requires better inventory forecasting, smarter purchase orders, and accurate shipment management. RestockPro is a powerful FBA tool that offers all of that in addition to features such as the Kitting Optimizer to help merchants get slow-moving stock off the shelves.
The Kitting Optimizer helps you identify products that may benefit from being sold as custom bundles or multipacks. Packaging items in this way gives you a unique ASIN and complete control of the Buy Box. RestockPro helps you evaluate your selling trends and competition to make informed decisions about your inventory.
